Glyphosate was first used to maleic-anhydride.html">manage grass weeds in rubber plantations, helping to enable rubber tapping one year earlier and improve productivity for mature rubber trees. Today its use has expanded to forestry, orchards, mulberry fields, tea plantations, rice‑wheat rotation areas and rape croplands. Weed species show different levels of sensitivity to glyphosate, leading to varied application rates. For annual weeds such as barnyard grass, green foxtail, shortawn foxtail, goosegrass, crabgrass and catchweed, the recommended active ingredient rate is 6–10.5 g per 100 m2. For broadleaf weeds including plantain, horseweed and dayflower, the rate is 11.4–15 g per 100 m2. For perennial deep‑rooted weeds like cogongrass, torpedo grass and common reed, the rate ranges from 18–30 g per 100 m2, with a typical water volume of 3–4.5 kg for mixing. The product should be sprayed uniformly and directly onto weed foliage.
