Products Description of Phosphoric acid CAS#7664-38-2
Phosphoric acid, also known as orthophosphoric acid (molecular formula H3PO4), appears as a colorless, clear viscous liquid or orthorhombic crystal in its pure form, with no odor but a strong acidic taste. The 85% grade is a colorless, transparent or slightly tinted viscous liquid. It has a melting point of 42.35℃, specific gravity of 1.70, and is a high-boiling acid miscible with water in all proportions. At 213℃ it loses half its water to form pyrophosphoric acid; further heating to 300℃ yields metaphosphoric acid. Its relative molecular maleic-anhydride.html">mass is 81.834.

Product Application of Phosphoric acid CAS#7664-38-2
Phosphoric acid is an inorganic acidulant made by oxidizing phosphorus in excess air to phosphorus pentoxide, which is then hydrated to orthophosphoric acid at various concentrations. It is a strong acid fully soluble in water; its salts are known as phosphates. It is widely used as an acid flavor agent in cola and root beer drinks to deliver a characteristic tart and acidic taste.
