Product Description

Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is a widely used anionic surfactant and a classic representative of sulfatebased surfactants. It is commercially supplied as a white to pale yellow crystalline powder, non-toxic, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in chloroform and ether, and highly soluble in water. It shows good compatibility with anionic and nonionic surfactants, and offers strong emulsifying, foaming, penetrating, cleaning and dispersing performance with rich foam and rapid biodegradability. Its water solubility is lower than that of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate (AES).
