Product Application
N,N-Dimethylaniline is widely used in the production of dyestuffs, and also acts as a solvent, a methylation reagent, and a curing agent for fiberglass-reinforced resins.
As an important dye intermediate, it is used in the synthesis of alkaline yellow, Crystal Violet 5BN, basic magenta green, basic lake blue BB, basic brilliant blue R, cationic red 2BL, brilliant red 5GN, violet 3BL, brilliant blue and other colorants. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is applied in the preparation of cefazolin V, sulfamonomethoxine, sulfadoxine, fluorocytosine and other active pharmaceutical ingredients. It also serves as an intermediate for vanillin, a stabilizer for colorimetric peroxidase assays, and a common reagent in organic synthesis.
