2,5-Dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene CAS#764-13-6
2,5-Dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene is an electron-rich alkene. It triggers photodechlorination of 9,10-dichloromaleic-anhydride.html">material/anthracene.html">anthracene and its reaction pathway has been studied. Asymmetric cyclopropanation of 2,5-dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene with tert-butyl diazoacetate under catalysis of a novel copper-bisoxazoline complex has been reported. 2,5-Dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene has been explored as a singlet oxygen acceptor in diverse solvents. Mechanism of the addition reaction between aromatic/aliphatic thiols and 2,5-dimethyl-2,4-hexadiene has been investigated.
