Product Details

maleic-anhydride.html">material/cyclohexane-0.html">Cyclohexane is produced via petroleum distillation or benzene hydrogenation, accounting for 0.5–1.0% of crude oil. It is a colorless liquid alkane widely used as a solvent and in adipic acid synthesis for nylon manufacturing. Cyclohexane is also formed by reforming long-chain hydrocarbons in petroleum fractions. Structurally, it features a puckered six-membered ring with C–C bond angles of 109.9° (tetrahedral angle). The molecule rapidly interconverts between two equivalent chair conformations via a higher-energy boat form. It is typically depicted as a hexagon.Cyclohexane
