Products Description
Magnesium stearate, also known as octadecanoic acid magnesium salt, is a white solid powder at room temperature. Its molecular formula is Mg(C18H35O2)2, consisting of two stearate anions and one magnesium cation (Mg2+). It melts at around 120 °C, is insoluble in water, and is generally recognized as safe for human intake at doses below 2500 mg/kg per day.

Product Application
Magnesium stearate has long been widely used in the food sector as an emulsifier, binder, thickener, anticaking agent, lubricant, release agent and antifoaming agent. It is widely found in food supplements, confectionery, chewing gum, seasonings and baking materials. It is also widely used as an excipient in pharmaceutical tablets, capsules and powder production. Its excellent lubricity comes from its hydrophobicity, which reduces friction between tablets and mold surfaces during ejection.
