Product Application of Stearic acidCAS#57-11-4
Stearic acid is a versatile industrial and commercial raw material with extensive applications in multiple industries, covering rubber processing, plastic manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, daily chemicals and food processing fields, with detailed usages as follows:
Rubber Industry: Serves as an excellent curing activator for natural rubber, most synthetic rubbers (excluding butyl rubber) and latex products. It can effectively improve the vulcanization efficiency and performance stability of rubber materials.
Plastic Industry: Used as a core raw material for the production of plastic plasticizers and thermal stabilizers, which helps enhance the processability, flexibility and weather resistance of plastic products.
Pharmaceutical Industry: Widely adopted in pharmaceutical formulation, mainly used for the preparation of medical ointments, suppositories and other pharmaceutical preparations, acting as a lubricating and shaping auxiliary material.
Daily Chemical & Light Industry: A common raw material for cosmetics, craft candles, waterproof coating agents and polishing agents, contributing to the smooth texture, waterproof performance and finishing effect of finished products.
Food Industry: Functions as a safe food-grade lubricant and defoamer, and serves as an important food additive. It is also a key synthetic raw material for glyceryl stearate, sorbitan stearate, sucrose esters and other common food emulsifiers and additives.
