Product Details
2,6-Dimethyl-4-heptanone CAS#108-83-8
2,6-Dimethyl-4-heptanone, also known as diisobutyl ketone, belongs to the ketone family and acts as a flavoring component. It can serve as an extraction solvent for determining ten trace metals (V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mo, Cd, Pb) in aqueous samples via plasma atomic emission spectrometry. A similar principle applies to phosphorus measurement when using 2,6-dimethyl-4-heptanone as the extraction agent. It is also a widely used important organic solvent and industrial intermediate.
