Natural deposits of thenardite can be found in regions such as Chile and Spain. It serves as a key raw material in producing paperboard, glass, and freezing mixtures. The decahydrate form, Na2SO4·10H2O, commonly known as Glauber’s salt, is a white water-soluble solid produced by reacting sodium chloride with sulfuric acid. It is widely used in dyeing processes, glass manufacturing, and the synthesis of sodium bisulfate.
