Products Description
Potassium hydroxide (KOH) is a strongly basic compound that forms highly alkaline solutions when dissolved in water and other polar solvents. These solutions can deprotonate a wide range of acidic substances, including weak acids. Potassium hydroxide is widely used in maleic-anhydride.html">manufacturing soft soaps, surface cleaning and scouring processes, as a wood mordant, in dye and colorant production, and for carbon dioxide absorption. It also serves as a key raw material for producing various potassium salts, acid-base titration analysis, and organic synthesis reactions.

Product Application
Potassium hydroxide acts as an emulsifier in skin lotions and as an alkaline agent in liquid soaps, protective creams, and shaving products. It may cause skin irritation or burning sensations based on its concentration. It is used in potassium salt production, electroplating, lithography, printing inks, wood mordant treatments, organic synthesis, and chemical analytical processes.
