Hydramethylnon is widely used in bait products to selectively target agricultural and household ants (including Camponotus, Iridomyrmex, Monomorium, Solenopsis, Pogomyrmex and Pheidole megacephala). It also controls cockroach species such as Blatta, Blattella, Periplaneta and Supella. Its slow-acting mode of action allows worker ants to carry it back to colonies, eliminating queens and entire nests.
