Products Description

Triacetin is widely used as a plasticizer, fragrance fixative and ink solvent. It also plays an important role in pharmaceutical manufacturing and dye synthesis.
It can be applied as a chromatographic stationary phase, solvent, toughening agent and aroma fixative.
It acts as a humectant, carrier solvent and plasticizer, and can capture carbon dioxide from natural gas.
It is used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and dyestuff production, and serves as a plasticizer for cigarette filter rods.
It is widely applied in cosmetics, casting, medicine, dyestuff and other industries. This product is non-toxic and non-irritating.
It can be used as a substrate for lipase testing, perfume fixative, solvent and gas chromatographic stationary phase (maximum operating temperature 85 ℃, solvent: methanol, chloroform), and for gas separation and aldehyde analysis.Triacetin

Product Application

Triacetin, also named 1,2,3-propanetriol triacetate or glyceryl triacetate, is the triester formed by glycerin and acetic acid. It can be synthesized by heating glycerin with acetic anhydride, with or without potassium hydrogen sulfate as a catalyst. It can also be produced through the oxidation reaction of a liquid mixture of allyl acetate and acetic acid with bromide salt as the catalyst.
