Tributyl citrate (TBC) is an eco-friendly plasticizer and lubricant with excellent performance. It is a non-toxic, colorless, transparent oily liquid with a fruity scent at room temperature. It has a boiling point of 170℃ at 133.3Pa and an open-cup flash point of 185℃. It dissolves easily in most organic solvents, features low volatility, strong compatibility with resins, and high plasticizing efficiency. Approved for use in food packaging, medical and hygiene products, children’s soft toys, pharmaceuticals, flavors and fragrances, and cosmetics in Europe and the United States. It provides products with good cold resistance, water resistance, and mildew resistance. Resins plasticized with this product exhibit excellent transparency, low-temperature flexibility, low volatility, low extractability in various media, and good thermal stability without discoloration upon heating. Lubricants formulated with TBC deliver outstanding lubricating performance.
